Does worknow hold the required license to operate in Germany?
Yes. worknow holds a permanent, unlimited license for employee leasing (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung) issued by the German Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit). This authorization allows us to provide both Employer of Record (EoR) and temporary staffing services in full compliance with German law. What is the maximum duration an employee can be engaged through worknow?
In Germany, the statutory maximum assignment duration for both EoR and temporary staffing is 18 months per employee and assignment. We ensure full compliance with this regulation and proactively manage timelines and options with our clients.
Is there a minimum duration for contracts with worknow?
No. There is no minimum contract duration. All engagements can be structured with maximum flexibility, provided that German notice periods and employee protection regulations are observed.
Can an EoR or temporary staffing arrangement be converted into direct employment?
Yes. An EoR or temporary staffing engagement can be converted into a direct employment relationship at any time. The transition is straightforward and legally compliant. worknow supports the process to ensure a smooth handover, including contractual alignment and coordination with all parties involved.
